Oil furnace could perform better

My lake house is currently equipped with a forced air oil furnace, with a duct plan installed into the walls plus crawl space.  I am not completely pleased with the system. The air in the lake house passes through the ducts multiple times per day. If there is dust, pollen or any type of contaminant within that network of pipes, it gets introduced into the breathing air.  I’ve noticed that I need to dust plus vacuum a lot more while in the Winter months, plus I blame the oil furnace. I guess it degrades indoor air conditions plus presents a health risk for my family. Sneezing, coughing, headaches, sore throats plus static shock are all caused by the polluted plus overly dry heated air.  I’ve already had troubles with wood furnishing cracking plus tearing. The complication is made worse because the oil furnace runs just about non stop. In this section of the country, I consistently start up the heating plan sometime in November plus keep it operating until the end of April. The outside weather is usually below cold plus often below zero, with a brutal wind chill.  Plus, the heated air pours from the registers plus rises straight up to the ceiling. It only falls back down once it has cooled. This creates unpleasant temperature stratification plus leads to higher control unit settings. Every time I bump up the control unit, the oil furnace uses more energy plus my daily daily bills go up! To make sure the oil furnace runs as efficiently as possible, I need to remember to replace the air filter every month, continually clean the registers, plus hire professional service every fall.  The oil furnace is noisy, dirty, ineffective plus a good deal of work.
